Russia has a unique beach, different from allother beaches. This beach doesn’t have white sand or black sand, but instead has glass. The beach is full of glass, which looks like colorful “pebbles.” But how could it be? This beach was once a Soviet-era dumping ground for old glass from vodka, wine, and beer bottles. The authorities was once considered Ussuri Bay as a dangerous place because its glass could hurt people who stepped on it. But the waves of the North Pacific have changed those broken glasses into beautiful pebbles. The glass becomes smooth and that’s why this beach is open again.
Ussuri bay is located near Vladivostok and has become one of favorite tourist destinations in Russia. During the day, the glass will sparkle due to the sunlight. It’s very beautiful. If you travel to Russia, don’t forget to stop by at this beach!
