10 Top Places to See Animals Outside of Zoos

Watching animals in their habitat has been one of favorite adventures for some travelers. From camel riding to mountain gorilla trekking, here are ten amazing animals and where to see them. Check it out.

10. Camel Riding in Australia

Riding a camel in the middle of the desert is a common thing. Do you want to ride a camel with a different atmosphere? So, here is the answer: Camel Riding on the coastline. Moreover, you will ride the camel during the sunset. It is amazing, isn’t? The one who established and popularized camel farms is Abdul Latif Casley. Since then the number of camels increased and became a fun attraction in the Cable Beach. It isn’t too hard to get there. You can get there by bus from Broome. But, don’t forget to arrange your ride first with the chosen company before you get there.

If you’re a reptile lover, this place is perfect for you. Around 1.25 million alligators live in Florida, the southeastern-most state of USA. You can find plenty of farms and parks there where you can see and observe the alligators safely. After having fun and spending your time at the beach, it would be great to stop by at the farms and parks. They are sprawled all around the state, including Miami.

Tiger temple is located in Saiyok, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. This history is that ten years ago villagers found a tiger cub in the woods. The villagers took and brought it for the monks. Since then, many tigers have been taken care of by the monks. After the tigers grow up, the monks release them so they can come back to the woods. You can visit this temple anytime of the year during the visiting hours. There is a bus which will take you to this place from Bangkok. It takes about 2 hours.


7. Jigokudani Wild Monkey Park in Japan

This monkey park is located in Nagano, Japan. The pictures of Japanese macaques have gone viral around the world. Since the monkeys are used to people, you can see closely and admire their human behavior. No wonder that they can still enjoy warming themselves in the hot springs during winter without being disturbed by the photographers. If you want to see this view, make sure to go there in during winter. This place isn’t too far from Nagano. You can take a short ride or walk from Nagano.

Serengeti National Park is known as the most visited park in Africa. It is home to many animals including elephants, giraffes, and rhinoceros. There are several safari plans that you can choose to explore this national park such as hot air balloon and driving. If you want to see wildebeest migration, visit the park from December to July. But if you want to see the predators, you better go there between June to October.


2. Emperor Penguins, Antarctica

The best place to see the emperor penguins in their habitat is Antarctica which has beautiful landscape. Some tours are arranged to see thousands of breeding penguins. It would be a great adventure to see those beautiful creatures closely. The best time to visit this place is during Antarctic summer, from November to March. Visiting the Antarctic in other part of the year isn’t recommended due to its extremecold and dark. You can get there by cruises which are offered by IAATO and Spirit of Ender or flights from Punta Arenas (Chile), Cape Town (South Africa), and Qantas (Australua).

The Gorilla Tour’s take off from Kakamero or Bukima. The location where you can see these endangered animals is in Democratic Republic of Congo. By taking the tours, it means travelers and visitors help support the efforts of rangers who preserve gorillas day and night from poachers.
